I was so excited to work in my newly cleaned and re-arranged scrap room, so I dug out some scraps and made these cards. And then I cleaned up after myself, so the room is still mostly clean. Hooray!

Nora had her auction at school this week. She had 618 reward bucks to spend and this 2-liter bottle of lemonade cost her 480 of them! (The 4th graders earn these bucks for good behavior and stuff like that, I believe.) Since she bought it all for herself, she decided she would drink right out of the bottle. Goofy girl!

For the blog's sake I am pretending this happened earlier in the week, but it was actually Saturday that we finally dug out all the Easter decorations. And the kids thought it would be cute to put all their Easter-ish stuffed animals all over the Evergreen Tree (it's not a Christmas tree if you don't turn the lights on and it doesn't have the ornaments on it!!!) Little did they know, I had already bought some Easter Egg garland...it looks very festive...and not at all like a you-know-what!

After the fiasco at Mom's on Friday night, I got a brilliant brainstorm on Saturday morning to call one of the picture places in the mall....just to see if they had any openings. They did! So we met up with Auntie Gigi & the Babies to have a REAL photo taken of all the grandkids! Notice the difference in the amateur shot from yesterday!!! This is a picture of a picture, of course, so imagine it's much clearer and beautiful, because it is. I thought the prices were really reasonable, too. Though my kids could have done many more poses, the Babies had enough fun after just a couple. Luckily, the photographer knew what she was doing and got good pics. I hope we can do this again through the years! It's been a long time since I took MY babies to a professional photographer.

March 7th
OK so Friday after school we went over to see Auntie Gigi & "the babies" as we like to call them. It was so exciting to spend time with them. Nora gave a gazillion horsie rides to Ben, and loved every minute of it. Will entertained Gina and Carmella. Jack basically just watched TV...but he did get to hold Ella until she squirmed. We had our Pizza Night and got to see Auntie Gigi's culinary skillz with the gluten-free/dairy-free pizza she made for the boys. I'm so glad we don't have those dietary issues in this household, I think we would just starve. :)
After eating, we decided that we should try to get a good photo of all 7 grandkids, because that's the ONLY thing that Grandma wanted for her birthday...well that and a picture of her daughters, but sometimes you don't always get everything you want. Anyway...here is a good example of our attempts. Of the 68 pictures on my digital camera, a total of um...zero of them were acceptable. For example, in this picture, you will notice the kids are all looking in different directions, some eyes are closed, a few are red, and oh yeah...Ben's watching TV. It was Wheel of Fortune, so you can hardly blame him, but it was not conducive to photo taking. We also tried to arrange them on the stairs, but they were a bit narrow, and poorly lit. Plus in such close quarters, Ella got a handful of each of the girls hair and slobbered on somebody's hand. Much screaming ensued. It certainly was a memorable activity though!

March 3rd
I've been a bad blogger...I'll try to do better. I had some sweet subjects to photograph today! I got to meet my sweet Ella Rose finally. It was love at first sight!
And this handsome fella is my godson, Will. He was a little shy, but loved spending time with the kids! I didn't get a good picture of Ben, just an upside down one with Carmella, so I will make sure to get a good one later this week.
