January 31st

Tomorrow is 100 Day at school, so Gina made this poster. She used 100 macaroni noodles to make the big 100...but then she was having so much fun, she wanted to add "fireworks" around it so ended up with 300 noodles all together!

January 30th

Here's the new fracture brace...I think it's pretty sharp looking myself, but I don't think Nora's that crazy about it.

January 29th

Finished...I think. I have never, in my 9 years of scrapbooking, had a layout sit on my desk for so long...at least 2 weeks I looked at this thing daily. What a struggle for a hobby I love so much. If anyone happens to see my missing mojo, please direct it back home!

January 28th

This was Nora's delight when she got her cast off after 3 difficult weeks! Now she will have 3 more weeks with a fracture brace...which is just like a cast, but removeable for bathing and sleeping. In another week she can ditch the crutches, she's counting the days!

January 27th

Tried again with the kids & their Webkinz in natural daytime lighting...still not as crisp as I would like. And of the 11 pictures I took, the one with the best lighting on the kids' faces has Carmella with a big scowl. Grrr...

This is what I did today. OK I didn't do them all today, just 2 stacks, the rest were a work in progress all week...during lunch hours and at church while the kids were at Awana. :) They look so pretty all stacked up together, don't they? One more card to make and then I can ship them off to Ohio.

January 17th

Just in time...as I was getting the kids tucked in bed, Gina asked me to try to pull out her tooth "just one more time" and lo and behold - out it popped! The first of the big front teeth, this one had been loose since LAST APRIL! Wahoo!

Whoops! It was bound to happen, I forgot to take any pictures on the 16th. But since I wandered around the house taking too many pictures the other day, I will share one of them. :) Playing without the flash again, one of my little Christmas nicknacks that's sadly still on display.

I played hookey today and had lunch with Glenna after trolling around IKEA for a while. Wheee!

Whoops, almost forgot to take a picture today. And so I wandered the house, took a few pictures of my semi-clean kitchen and laundry rooms. Took a picture of the chocolate eclair cake I made myself that's in the fridge. Took a picture of some snowmen around a little night-light bulb fire (yes, the Christmas decorations are still out!) But I think this one is a better picture for today. I am caught up on my Bible reading as of today...well for another 55 minutes anyway. I've been reading along with the church, a few chapters from the old and new testament every day...by the end of the year, I will have read the whole Bible. Ten days down, 355 to go!

I didn't take this picture, so I'm just not sure if it should count for the photo of the day, but here it is anyway. Carmella took this picture of me and Karen after Awana. I wanted to remember because we went out for dinner for my birthday...me, Karen and Declan. I told the girls I had a "Date with Declan" and they got a real kick out of that. So here's MY picture of the day, it's Declan, my handsome and drooling date!

I only took 2 pictures today, and almost missed the opportunity entirely...but I had my camera with me, so pulled it out as my friend Mary was finishing up the last song during the worship time at out church meeting tonight. She's fabulous...has a beautiful voice, and is a talented guitar player, not to mention what a wonderful Christian example she has been to me and how happy I am to have met her. Hope she doesn't mind me posting this!
